Here is a fun piece with the process, to see how its changed from the original layout.
So the direction was to make this fantasy section have a comic feel. So I brought the original line work into a more comic feel, Thick and thin line weight. Also added old printing process like: half tone patterns, line for shading and texture, even the removal of line to help with the distance. Also referenced people like Bernie Wrightson and Franklin booth for the handling of the line work.
Sofia the First and Fancy Nancy shows were great because its allowed for different styles in aspects of the show which are different from the current look of the show.
