The Pueblos

Hey Y'all 

So this is a Matte Painting that I did. Its a to the Hopi Indians. My favorite since I was a child. Plus there are images from Monument Valley, Canyon De Chelly, Arches National Park, Taos Pueblo, Hopi Reservation, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon. Such great areas of the USA. Especially in November after a first snow, and its crisp and cold out. Plus the white snow does so great against the red rocks. 

Final Matte Painting

I sketched out a couple of locations just to get a sense of what I wanted to create. The Final matte painting is mainly a mixture of the two on the left. But mainly the top one.

This is the Mitten rock that I turned into Hopi Maiden Rock. 

I really liked how it came out.

Tower To Tower Matte Painting

 Hey Y'all 

Here is a matte painting that I did. Using a moving plate I added two lifeguard towers at each end of the pan. Removed the footprints and tire tracks going through the Towers position to acheive desired look. Painting work in Photoshop, Projection work in Nuke.

Temple Hill Matte Painting

Hey Y'all 

Here is a Matte Painting I did on a moving plate. Removed the people in the Foreground and on the stairs, removed all the side paths, removed the chartreuse partitions along the stairs. Then added totems in the foreground and made them integrated into the ground. Added a Temple and totems at the top of the hill with atmosphere to set them back.

Tron: Flynns - Day to Night

 Hey Y'all 

Here is a Day to Night shot of Flynns Arcade from the Movie Tron. Used Photoshop and Nuke to created the shot. Recreated the Matte Painting to look like Flynns from the 1980's to match the film reference. Used Nuke to do some gags like the Top floor light turning on, The Flynns Neon flickering from a power surge, and the lights on the Culver Hotel in the background turn off.

Armand Serrano Visual Development Mentorship

 Hey Y'all 

Took a vis dev mentorship with Armand Serrano. Had a great time working on this body of work. There props and characters to come as well. 

The prompt for this body of work was:  Somewhere in the far East, a crew stepped out of their Cold War era (80's) nuclear submarine only to find an armada of three Spanish galleons of the 16th century in front of them. Time of day: Afternoon, dark clouds.

Dragons: The Nine Realms

 Spent a short time on Dragons, as they were wrapping up there final season. Only spent a couple months there, but absolutely loved it. Recruiting was tip top. Getting gifts from feature Bad Guys film was a nice surprise. Here is some work that I created on the show.
