Recently wrapped up my time on the Baby Sharks Big Movie, I was a Visual Development Artist on the Movie. Also painted alot of Backgrounds and color scripts. Fun project to work on. Should be out in the fall. Then you'll see more paintings. Here is one of the Paintings that they used for the Key Art on the show to promote it to the media.

So years ago I read this book called Buccaneers of America by Alexander Exquemelin. Exquemelin was a Physician that sailed with Captain Morgan. And how they crossed the isthmus of Panama to sack Panama City. It was a great book. Read like a journal. I was doing a bunch of illustrations from the book. Decided to revisit this one. Liked the composition. Kind of glad I did.

Been working on SpongeBob SquarePants for a while. Pretty exciting to work on a tenured show that has been a pillar in the industry for so long. And I'm glad its still on the air and they are creating new shows because it was waiting for me to come around to be able to work on it. I've loved being able to work traditionally. I got into the industry a little late and Photoshop took over for painting. Paintings all in Acrylic on Illustration board.

I always wanted to do the window view from my window at the studio. I remember seeing on Nathan Fowkes blog back in 2006, versions that he had done 20+ years ago back at DreamWorks. I had done these when I was at TVA, but couldnt find the folder I had put them in. I used to stand at the window and look out, I felt like a rich king. I would say I'm looking out over my land, haha. It did have a great view

Here is a progression I did again. Picture taken by me of a farm outside of Sophia, North Carolina on Beeson Farm Rd. A few years back I took a road trip from Nashville TN to Sophia NC, to go to a creative retreat at the Cagelessbirds at A Place For The Heart. There was something magical about this spot, I gasped at it driving in, but couldnt stop because I was running late. We had free time one day and I went driving to find this place. All the free time we had I would end up driving out here and just sitting in awe at the hand of the Creator. I love a landscape of trees and rolling hills.
